"I don’t know if we win the all-hype team," Ryan said then. "That might have gone to someone else, but we’re going to beat their ass when we play them." Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson said this week that Ryan's comments were "uncalled for" and expressed his displeasure at not being able to take a shot at the defensive coordiantor Sunday. "It ain't like I can run on the sideline and tackle the coach," Jackson told Philadelphia reporters. "I know that Jackson said it’s not right for me to comment, and he’s right about that, that I don’t play on Sunday," Ryan said. "I know he wishes I did. I mean, hell, he doesn’t have to worry about tackling me. If he does, he can tackle me. That’d be great, because I’m going to land on his shoulder and put him out. So that’ll be awesome. Hell, he can tackle me two or three times."

Are the Chiefs a better team without Dexter McCluster?

Is it time to end the Dexter McCluster experiment? Should the Chiefs add another legitimate NFL WR in his place on the roster?

2012 NFL Mock Draft - Charlie Campbell 1) Kansas City Chiefs: Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa Kansas City wanted to draft offensive tackle Nate Solder last year, but missed out on him. If the Chiefs can land a left tackle like Reiff, that would allow them to move Brandon Albert to another area of need like guard. Such moves would be a big improvement for the Kansas City offensive line. Reiff has the combination of size and mobility that Chiefs' offensive coordinator and offensive-line guru Bill Muir loves. He has been a solid left tackle for Iowa. At 6-foot-6, 300 pounds, Reiff has the frame to add some more power. He is a technician who has been well coached at Iowa. Reiff looks like he has the ability to switch to right tackle, and possibly guard, if needed, but would have to put on some weight for either of those positions. His natural position is left tackle, and Reiff should turn into a quality left tackle in the NFL. He had a very good game against Pittsburgh defensive end Brandon Lindsey. The rest of Reiff's schedule looks very manageable for him to finish the season strong. Adrian Clayborn raved to WalterFootball.com previously about Reiff, and how much he made Clayborn better due to battles in practice. 2) Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Chapman, DT, Alabama Some feel that Chapman is a first-round pick, but his lack of production and not offering much more than a big body up front makes it a hard sell. Still, nose tackles are in demand, and can be hard to come by. The Chiefs need a nose tackle and Chapman (6-1, 310) fits their scheme. Thus far in 2011, Chapman has recorded 13 tackles with 2.5 tackles for a loss and two passes batted down in five games. 3) Kansas City Chiefs: Delano Howell, SS, Stanford The Chiefs need another safety to pair with Eric Berry in the long term. Howell made a lot of improvements last season. He recorded 70 tackles with five interceptions and five passes defensed. Howell (5-11, 198) has 25 tackles with four passes broken up so far this season. He is an intelligent coverage safety who plays the deep part of the field well. WalterFootball

Close shave? Chiefs' Haley perseveres through rough start

+

Great article by Albert Breer on NFL.com. He interviewed Haley about the beard, and his coaching methods. Here's an interesting quote from it: "First, there was this: Haley made the simple point, after three weeks, that with a win in Week 4, and three wins in each of the three remaining quarters of the season, the Chiefs would be OK. Second, Kansas City lost the turnover battle 9-2 in the first two weeks. So Haley got the team's photographer and compiled hundreds of examples of poor technique in carrying the ball. And he identified a larger problem within that one -- players trying to do too much, as stars went down and the team fell behind"
