Daydreaming

1

I had this daydream at work today (i'm an industrial laser operator), while cutting stuff up..("No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!")..no no, not that one, this one..The first offensive series of the first regular season game this year.. "AS11 has all day and throws a 62 yard bomb to a streaking wide open Jeremy Maclin for a (a la Mitch) Kan-sas City touchdown! PRICELESS!

That time D-Bowe got Lasik then broke up with his girlfriend

At that point, Fox tried to save Bradshaw by artificially blurring the scoreboard and then clearing it up, ostensibly to dramatize the improvement in Bowe's vision. But Terry Bradshaw could not be stopped. "There you go. That gives you an idea of what he was looking at," Bradshaw said, unfazed. Then: "Well, when he opened his eyes up and he finally could see, he said he broke up with her. That's not a good story to tell on national television, but that's what he did." Said Howie Long, voice of reason and humanity: "Terry, Terry, Terry."

Dorsey says Houston situation will take a while

"I think the last time I talked to his representatives was a week ago," Dorsey said. "It’s an ongoing process, it doesn’t happen overnight. These things with players of this magnitude, it’s going to take a while."

Chiefs didn't pursue any other top free agent WRs

Dorsey said the Chiefs didn't pursue any of the other top tier free-agent wide receivers and wouldn't have even had they missed on Maclin

Gore also had significant concerns from a football standpoint, and one of them was whether the Eagles would struggle without Maclin and without a big-time receiving threat. Eagles coach Chip Kelly, who now has full control over personnel in Philly, clearly put a price on Maclin's services and wouldn't authorize the team to match a contract from Kansas City.

Colts are going to be very good

Frank Gore plans to sign with the Indianapolis Colts, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The deal is expected to be similar to the three-year, $12 million offer that the former 49ers running back received Sunday from the Eagles, according to the source. [+] Enlarge Thearon W. Chiefs worked out former Syracuse CB a few weeks ago

Former Syracuse cornerback Keon Lyn has been invited to and will attend the inaugural NFL Veteran Combine, he said in a text message Wednesday afternoon. The event will be held on March 22 at the Arizona Cardinals practice facility. "I had a workout with the Chiefs three weeks ago, but this is better," Lyn said. "I'll be in front of all scouts (at once) instead of individually."

Packers reporter on Randall Cobb

Oakland, with the second-most top-51 cap space at $56.6 million, also is ready to enter the Cobb sweepstakes, according to sources. Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie helped draft Cobb for Green Bay in the second round four years ago and wants to reunite him with steady James Jones. Kansas City is over the cap, but another ex-Packers personnel director, GM John Dorsey, is prepared to create space and might attempt to make a run at Cobb as well.

What does a 25-year-old, 300-pound NFL offensive tackle have in common with a 60-pound 9-year-old kid who played one season of flag football in third grade before deciding that it was too early and too chilly to ever want to do it again? Not much. And everything.

An unlikely connection. | Really??!

Chiefs OL lacked depth, not talent

There seems to be a narrative that the group is lacking talent overall and that just isn’t the case. The Chiefs invested a lot in the youth and development here and I believe they want to see that through. This group lacked depth in 2014, not talent.
