Welcome to this week’s edition of Let’s Argue, a recurring series that looks at hot takes, unpopular opinions, wacky predictions and more from Kansas City Chiefs fans.
Miami’s running game makes the cold weather moot

All the talk has been about how the Miami Dolphins aren’t built for the elements. But for them, Saturday’s weather could be a blessing in disguise.
When you think of Miami’s offense, the first name that comes to mind is Tyreek Hill. While that name has a different meaning for Chiefs fans, that’s not the point here. Miami is known for its high-flying offensive attack. They have a lot of window dressing — and defenses have to honor that.
But in the frigid conditions expected at Arrowhead on Saturday night, one would expect Miami to lean more into its rushing attack.
During their meeting in Germany, the Dolphins were without rookie sensation De’Von Achane. The Texas A&M product has rushed for 800 yards on 103 carries this season — good for 7.8 yards per carry.
In Miami’s 11 wins, their running backs averaged 25.9 carries. In their six losses, they only averaged 18.5 carries.
It will be important for Kansas City to get out to an early lead.
Many Chiefs’ fans are scared of the cold
A lot of Chiefs fans are scared of the cold— adam kerfoot (@KerfootAdam) January 11, 2024
This game is setting up to be one of the coldest games in NFL history.
As of right now, the temperature at kickoff is expected to be one degree below zero.
Does this mean Chiefs fans are scared?
If I know this fanbase like I think I do, there’s no chance they’ll be scared. Like it is for any other game, Arrowhead will be sold out.
Now... will the fans be properly dressed? Absolutely.
Having said that, I’m sure there will be a couple of shirtless guys in the building.
Kansas City will play three postseason games at home

While it appears likely Patrick Mahomes will have a road playoff game for the first time, there’s still a pathway where he doesn’t.
But if these wild scenarios don’t happen, wouldn’t it be cool to see Mahomes rip fans’ hearts out in their building?
I think so.
Kadarius Toney still has something to offer

Tom and I are probably the only two people left on Kadarius Toney Island.
Look... this season hasn’t gone as planned for Toney at all.
From the drops to lining up offsides to the injuries, it’s been a disaster all around.
Even with all of that, I still struggle with the idea of giving up on him — because you can see the raw talent. When he does catch the ball, he’s super explosive.
It’s easy to forget he’s only 24.
