On Sunday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs registered a 25-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Here’s some of what Tom Ruprecht overheard at Arrowhead Stadium.

  1. “We’ve got to win today, because you do not want to face Easton Stick in a must-win scenario.”
  2. “Isiah Pacheco cleared concussion protocol. Wish we could say the same about the officials at the Lions-Cowboys game.”
  3. “Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s numbers are so bad, you’d think L’Jarius Sneed was covering him.”
  4. “Amazingly, Harrison Butker had more field goals than Valdes-Scantling had drops.”
  5. “This place will never be Burrowhead — but today it was Butkerhead!
  6. “As the Bengals line collapsed in the fourth quarter, Orlando Brown Jr. finally earned his Chiefs contract.”
  7. “So the plan is to ride the defense and special teams — and just ask Patrick Mahomes to be a game manager? We’ve turned the greatest quarterback on the planet into Trent Dilfer.”
  8. “If you need someone to talk trash after your team’s been eliminated from the playoffs, Ja’Marr Chase is your man.”
  9. “After winning the AFC West, the Chiefs are pouring drinks all over each other like David Tepper throwing drinks on Jaguars’ fans.”
