Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Kansas City Chiefs fans. You can see all of the recent survey results here.

Chiefs’ fan confidence

Following last Sunday’s 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers that dropped Kansas City to 8-4, confidence in the team has dropped to 35%. That’s a new low for the season. As a frame of reference, going into Week 14 of 2022, the Cincinnati Bengals had just handed the Chiefs a 27-24 loss — their third straight defeat to Cincinnati — giving them a 9-3 record that had dropped them out of the AFC’s top spot. Fan confidence stood at 74%.

The stretch run

Given how little confidence the Chiefs’ fans have in their team, it’s not surprising that almost three in four think the team will lose at least one of its final five games.

Wanya Morris as a starter

While they aren’t confident in the team right now, Kansas City fans like what they have seen in the third-round rookie who got his first significant playing time against the Packers, filling in for starting left tackle Donovan Smith. Almost three in four Chiefs fans think he’s ready to step in permanently.

Week 13’s biggest surprise

NFL fans across the country were pretty sure that the Chiefs would win their road game in Green Bay. They consider that result significantly more surprising than the San Francisco 49ers’ 42-19 beatdown of the Philadelphia Eagles in their own house.

Week 14 picks

While a big majority of their own fans think the Chiefs can’t win out, fans across the country believe the team will win Sunday’s matchup with the Buffalo Bills — which might be the most difficult game left on the schedule. Of course... those same fans believed the Pittsburgh Steelers would beat the New England Patriots on “Thursday Night Football.” So go figure.
