What to do this offseason...

Well, that was an ugly game (Green Bay). What is clear is that we need some new receiving talent.

Here we go:

1. Sign Sneed, Danna, Tommy Townsend, Mike Edwards, Wharton, and Tranquil to extensions. Let every other FA walk including Gay as well as CJ95. I know, he's a great player, but we can't match the 30 million he will get from someone. Use that money to sign our other free agents. Sign Cochrane to a affordable deal.

2. Shop for some FA WRs. My #1 choice would be Mike Evans IF he would take about 2 years, 40 mil. Then grab another guy like Curtis Samuel, a decently quick and productive WR. Michael Pittman would be my second choice for a bigger name WR, but I feel like he will be more expensive than Evans.

3. Extend Omenihu if possible. Dude is explosive on the field. Hate for next year to be his last for us.

4. Cut Justin Reid and MVS. Saves around 22 mil. Edwards takes Reid's spot and we draft a safety.

5. Draft - I did this mock on PFN. Doubt Odunze is actually there for us, but would be worth giving up next year's 2nd to jump up and get him if necessary:

1. Rome Odunze - WR - 6'3", 215, strong, powerful, and quick WR. Would be a good guy to pair with Rice for the next 4 years.

2. Graham Barton - OT - 6'6", 315, good big bodied OT prospect that will be our swing tackle for next year, and take over when we cut Taylor in 2025.

3. Michael Hall, Jr. - DT - 6'3", 290 - Explosive DT out of Ohio State. Eventual CJ replacement.

4. Jahiem Bell - TE - 6'3, 230 - One of the better receiving TE's in the draft. Not a great blocker, given his size so might need to hold on to Blake Bell. Good receiver, start working towards a post-Kelce Chiefs.

5. Orande Gadsden - WR - 6'5, 216 - Take a flyer on a WR with good measurables. Need to double up and rebuild. No to KT, no to Justyn Ross. Stop putting faith into unproven WRs. Skyy gets one more year, in the slot, and then he would get cut if production does not improve. Gives us a WR room of Mike Evans, Rashee Rice, Curtis Samuel, Skyy Moore, Rome Odunze, and Orande Gadsden.

6. Jay Stanley - S - 6'2", 215, nice sized safety to be our Safety in waiting, with Cook and Edwards as our starters. Nazeeh Johnson is our other backup.

If we have money left over, try to sign a decent vet DT. Our line may suffer for a year, but I think Michael Hall will develop into a key player. Maybe Sheldon Rankins, Quinton Jefferson, Fletcher Cox, Javon Kinlaw....
