Some notes

  • The Chiefs have ruled two players out for the game: left tackle Donovan Smith (neck) and wide receiver Kadarius Toney (hip).
  • The Chiefs have listed both of their top running backs — Isiah Pacheco (concussion/shoulder) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) — as questionable. Pacheco was able to practice on Friday as a limited participant, while Edwards-Helaire missed the final two practices of the week.
  • Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed’s calf injury kept him out of practice all week, and he is officially questionable. Right guard Trey Smith (ankle/knee) was upgraded to a full participant on Friday and is good to go.
  • Wide receiver Mecole Hardman (thumb) has been a full participant all week. With Toney not being available for the second straight week, it is reasonable to think that the Chiefs could activate Hardman so that he can play against the Bengals this weekend.
  • For the Bengals, the player to watch is wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase (shoulder), who is questionable for the game. Chase playing while Sneed is absent from the lineup could create a key mismatch for Kansas City.
  • Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt (ankle) is back on the active roster and expected to return and play the Chiefs.
