Chiefs’ fan confidence
Never mind that the team is almost certain to win an eighth straight AFC West championship. Following the team’s ugly 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day, the confidence of Kansas City fans has fallen to a new low: just 10%.
Confidence is now so low that 10% of the team’s fans think the Chiefs will lose both of their last two games, missing the playoffs altogether — even though there’s only about a 1 in 50 chance that will happen. Still, a little more than one in three Kansas City fans believe the team will win at least one playoff game.

Fans may not be confident in the team’s direction right now — but they certainly believe in the team’s fourth-year cornerback. More than nine in 10 fans think the Chiefs should give him a new contract in 2024.
Super Bowl favorites
It looks like the Baltimore Ravens’ 33-19 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 made quite an impression on fans across the country. Almost half now believe the Ravens will reach — and win — the league championship. But we remind you: a regular-season matchup doesn’t always predict the result of a postseason rematch. See: Kansas City’s 27-24 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12 of 2020 — or the Chiefs’ 38-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 5 of 2021.
As a group, NFL fans think the Chiefs will clinch the AFC West on Sunday afternoon — and they’d better, because fans also think the Raiders and Broncos will win their matchups.
