The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Monday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Left tackle Donovan Smith (neck), wide receiver Kadarius Toney (hip) and defensive tackle Matt Dickerson will be inactive.
On Sunday, running back Jerick McKinnon (groin) was placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured (injured reserve) list. To take his place, practice squad running back La’Mical Perine was signed to the 53-man roster. He is active for the game.
And despite a report that he would miss the game for personal reasons, running back Clyde Edwards-Healire was observed arriving at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday morning. He is also active.

Smith, Toney and McKinnon — along with wide receiver Mecole Hardman (thumb) — had all been declared out on Saturday’s final injury report for the game. McKinnon now joins Hardman — who has been designated to return, but has not yet been activated to the roster — on the Reserve/Injured list. Dickerson is a healthy scratch.
Perine had previously been elevated to the roster for three games, which is the in-season limit for a practice squad player to be elevated. Without being activated to the roster, he would not have been eligible to play again until the postseason.
On Sunday, Kansas City also elevated practice squad defensive tackle Mike Pennel and wide receiver Montrell Washington to the active roster. As elevated players, they will automatically be returned to the team’s practice squad after the game. Both are active for the matchup.
We can expect Washington to take wide receiver Richie James’ place on kick returns while James gets more work on offense. Just as he did in Week 15, we can expect Pennel to get pretty much all of Dickerson’s snaps.
The Raiders have also released their list of inactives. As expected, tight end Michael Mayer will not play. Neither will star running back Josh Jacobs (quad/illness) — but tackle Kolton Miller (shoulder), wide receiver DJ Turner (shoulder), cornerback Jack Jones (knee) and defensive back Brandon Facyson (shin) will all be available to play against the Chiefs.
Mayer had been declared out on Saturday — while Jacobs, Miller, Turner, Jones and Facyson had all been listed as questionable. Facyson — who had been designated to return from the Raiders’ Reserve/Injured list — practiced with the team all week before being activated to the roster on Sunday.
Las Vegas has elevated tight end Cole Fotheringham and running back Jakob Johnson from their practice squad for the matchup. Both will dress for the game.
