On Sunday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs collected a 27-17 win over the New England Patriots. Here’s some of what Tom Ruprecht overheard at Gillette Stadium.

  1. “Patrick Mahomes had to spend Saturday working a shift at Dunkin’ Donuts to help pay his $50,000 fine.”
  2. “At this point, if Kadarius Toney had a good game, it’d surprise me more than the last five M. Night Shyamalan movies combined.”
  3. “No. 19 has been so bad, I can’t even enjoy my Tony! Toni! Toné! cassingles anymore.”
  4. “I won’t know how until I watch the All-22, but I guarantee Harrison Butker’s miss was somehow Toney’s fault.”
  5. “The minute the season ends, he better be Skyy No Moore.”
  6. “F************ck!!!” (Taylor Swift Version)
  7. “I don’t know what you’re complaining about, Pat. The receivers seem to be able to hold on to Jerick McKinnon’s passes.”
  8. “I guess Clyde Edwards-Helaire read that ‘How to Play Football’ book I left in his locker.”
  9. “Wow, Coach Belichick must be really beloved! Look at all the Patriots’ players who are volunteering to help him pack up his office.”
  10. “Travis Kelce now faces that common new-relationship dilemma: ‘Do I ask my girlfriend to spend Christmas with me and the Raiders?’”
