Some notes

  • The Chiefs are still missing left tackle Donovan Smith (neck) and running back Isiah Pacheco (shoulder), who missed practice Wednesday and Thursday after not participating in Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. Safety Mike Edwards (illness) remained out of practice. Kansas City is hopeful Edwards can work on Friday, especially with safety Bryan Cook unavailable.
  • Linebacker Leo Chenal (illness) returned to practice as a full participant on Thursday after missing Wednesday. Linebacker Nick Bolton (wrist/abdomen) remained limited on Thursday.
  • The Chiefs currently have a roster exemption for wide receiver Justyn Ross, who has now logged two full practices this week. The team would have to activate Ross to the 53-man roster for him to be eligible to play against the Patriots.
  • For the Patriots, Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) missed practice again on Thursday. Both offensive tackle Trent Brown (ankle/hand) and safety Brend Schooler (illness) missed practice Thursday after working on Wednesday.
  • Of the Patriots' limited participants from Wednesday and Thursday, wide receivers Demario Douglas (concussion), DeVante Parker (knee) and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) were inactive last week.
