The Chiefs have netted out at -143 penalty yards this year. Second only to the Chicago Bears according to Football Database.
Multiple drives have been killed by the O-line. We know who is responsible for most of these, although the trend has improved over the last few weeks.
So, either the Chiefs have become the worst-disciplined team since Andy Reid came to town, the specific schedule of teams has caused a skew in the data, or, calls are randomly going against them and the Law of Large Numbers will correct things.
I am sure somebody has completed penalty analysis for the Denver Debacle. Just a thought: The NFL doesn’t exactly think one team crushing another over a decade is a good representation of parity.
