With the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2022 season underway, Arrowhead Pride has added 12 new contributors to its team. In their first post, each new contributor (listed alphabetically) shares what led them to Arrowhead Pride:

Price Carter

I’m a Kansas City native, born and raised on Chiefs football. Growing up, I was probably the only kid who would get in trouble for changing all the radios in the house to sports talk radio. I began writing and covering the Chiefs since 2020, contributing to several successful sites and launching an NFL podcast as well. My analysis focuses on objectivity analytics and opinion. When not covering and talking Chiefs, I like to spend time with my wife and son and help my father on the local dirt track racing scene.

Nate Christensen

Hey, Chiefs Kingdom! My name is Nate Christensen, and I’m a sophomore studying business administration at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. My biggest passion is the Kansas City Chiefs, and I’m ecstatic to be writing about them for Arrowhead Pride. I’ll be doing film analysis during the week. Follow my Twitter for film clips. Go Chiefs!

Justin Eichman

Chiefs’ Kingdom, let’s ride (I’m kidding).

On a serious note, I’m pumped up to be writing about a team that helped mold my love of football growing up. I grew up in Topeka, Kansas and went on to play football at Butler Community College and Kansas State. Now, as a former player, I have extra time on my hands to watch the Chiefs closer than ever. I’ve wanted to use an outlet for awhile to talk about the game I love with a wider audience. I’ve followed Pete and the rest of the Arrowhead Pride team and have had a lot of respect for all the coverage they provide on Chiefs football. With that being said, I’m ready to get this thing rolling!

Maurice Elston

Chiefs Kingdom! I am just a kid from Kansas City, who is passionate about writing, in love with football and crazy about the Kansas City Chiefs. Arrowhead Pride has been my go-to source for Chiefs news for over a decade now and I look forward to adding my flavor to this amazing team. This is a dream come true for me. I am truly excited and hope you are too! How Bout Those CHIEFS!!

Zach Gunter

Despite not having a ton of published experience, my love for football and writing runs deep. Born and raised in Kansas City, the Chiefs run in my blood. This offseason, I mostly wrote about the 2022 NFL Draft — with other miscellaneous news and fantasy articles published as well.

I applied to Arrowhead Pride because I love Chiefs Kingdom and want to reach more of you. I look forward to writing for you all! Go Chiefs!

Conner Helm

Despite being born and raised in Southern California, my native Kansas City father ensured I lived and breathed Chief red from the day I was born. I have suffered through the dark ages and celebrated the golden ages with all of you. A few Arrowhead experiences include: being in the crowd for the “Loudest Crowd Noise” world record game against the Patriots, the Dante Hall return against the Broncos game and the 2019 AFC championship game.

I have recently worked for NFL Media in their Next Gen Statistics department for three seasons and am now going to be bringing Arrowhead Pride in-depth reports using advancing analytics.

Ashley Justice

Just another Kansas City native who lives for Chiefs Kingdom. After years of shouting my Chiefs praise into the void, I’m so happy to have found myself at Arrowhead Pride. A bit about me: I have too many photos of my dogs (according to my iCloud storage), sushi and Chipotle are my main food groups and there’s a video of me crying after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV win on my Instagram that is just delightful should you feel inclined to watch.

Ricko Mendoza

How’s it going, AP! I am honored to be among the many new and talented contributors added to the Arrowhead Pride team. Coming to you straight from rival territory in Southern California, nothing makes me happier than seeing the mumbles and groans around town during a dominant Chiefs’ victory on game days. Aside from that, I’m just your average sports fan, who, like many of you, has loved football ever since I was a kid. I am grateful for this opportunity to work at the site and will do my best to keep all of us here at Arrowhead Pride informed and up to date with the latest news surrounding the team. Let’s go Chiefs!

Stan Nelson

Hello Chiefs Kingdom! I was born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My first memory of football was the Immaculate Reception as it happened live, so the NFL has been in my blood since I was 7 years old. I moved to Kansas City right after high school in the mid-1980s and became, not only a Chiefs fan, but also a diehard one — living and dying by my Chiefs. I have been a part of the Kingdom since the days of Carl and Marty and carried season tickets for many years. I have been to games where it ranged from absolute euphoria to having my heart ripped out. I started following AP from its early days and have been a daily visitor to the site ever since. It is an absolute honor to become a contributor to the site I have admired for so long. I look forward to celebrating moments with you all that we have waited our entire lives to experience. In my almost 50 years of being a fan of the NFL, there has never been a better time to be a Chiefs fan than right now.

Tom Ruprecht

As a Chiefs fan living in New Jersey, Arrowhead Pride has been invaluable in helping me feel connected to Kansas City. I’m psyched they’re letting me be a part of it.

I’ve spent the past 20 years working as a TV comedy writer (Late Show with David Letterman, How I Met Your Mother etc.) While I’m proud of the jokes I’ve written, I gotta admit I’ve never come up with anything as hilarious as Tyreek’s claim that Tua is more accurate than Mahomes.

Nick Schwerdt

After spending the first decade or so of my professional career in radio (you can hear me as the producer of “Cody & Gold” on 610 Sports Radio), I decided that I wanted to branch out and try something new. I approached Pete Sweeney with a simple question.

“How can I share my thoughts and opinions without actually speaking?” I asked.

“Do you mean writing?” Pete responded.

And just like that, my career at Arrowhead Pride began. I’ll be writing periodically throughout the week, as well as taking the reigns of our Instagram page and gameday live tweeting on the AP Twitter account.

Dakota Watson

Hey, Chiefs Kingdom! Lifelong Chiefs fan here and a longtime reader of Arrowhead Pride. From my days of watching every minute of 12 or 14 loss seasons to the euphoria of being in the Arrowhead crowd to witness “13 seconds,” I will always love this team.

I am now a Doctor of Physical Therapy practicing in the Kansas City metro — and can’t wait to merge my passions of physical therapy and writing to this great community. I won’t always be right — and no medical provider is, but I hope to at least educate and inform where I can. I can’t think of a more exciting time than now to be involved with the KC sports market. Let’s get rolling!
