Here’s what happened in our simulation:
The Kansas City Chiefs defense was unstoppable, the dynamic duo of Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce was on full display, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire went wild in another impressive win in the EA Universe — this one against the Baltimore Ravens.
Edwards-Helaire took over the majority of the game as he had 142 all-purpose yards. Edwards-Helaire rushed for 109 yards on 20 attempts that average 5.4 yards per carry. The vision of Edwards-Helaire allowed him to find the right holes and shed tackles, as he had 53 yards after contact.
During last week’s Cleveland Browns simulation — in which the Chiefs won 33-20 — it was the Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill show. It was the same this week, as Mahomes targeted the duo 20 times, completing 19 of those targets. Hill and Kelce combined for 190 yards to help the Chiefs blow past the Ravens. Hill was the only one of the two to score.
The Chiefs' offense complemented the defense, as once the Chiefs took the 27-10 lead, it meant Lamar Jackson had to throw the football. The Chiefs defense had to chase Jackson around in the first quarter, and the 17-point Ravens deficit meant more dropbacks were needed and forced by Jackson. It wasn’t just one player on defense standing out over the rest; it was a team effort to stop Jackson on the ground and then through the air.
Final score: Chiefs 34, Ravens 20
In Week 3, the Chiefs are back home, taking on the Los Angeles Chargers, as kickoff is set for Noon.
