Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks and rookies are in St. Joseph, Missouri, for the first weekend of training camp. Veteran non-quarterbacks are due to report on Monday afternoon, with the first full-team practice scheduled for Wednesday.

“We’ve got 30 players that will be here, and we’re excited about that,” said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid on Friday. “We’re excited to give them some work. You’re not going to see necessarily a lot of team work as much as you will seven-on-sevens as we go through this.”

Of the 30 players at camp for the weekend, 28 practiced on Saturday for the Chiefs:

Quarterbacks (4): Patrick Mahomes, Chad Henne, Anthony Gordon, Shane Buechele

Running backs (1): Derrick Gore

Wide receivers (4): Cornell Powell, Maurice Ffrench, Chris Finke, Dalton Schoen

Tight ends (2): Noah Gray, Jody Fortson

Offensive line (4): Lucas Niang, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, Darryl Williams

Defensive line (3): Taco Charlton, Josh Kaindoh, Tyler Clark

Linebackers (2): Nick Bolton, Riley Cole

Defensive backs (8): Juan Thornhill, Deandre Baker, Zayne Anderson, Dicaprio Bootle, Marlon Character, Rodney Clemons, Devon Key, Manny Patterson

The two players who did not participate were safety Armani Watts (foot fracture) and defensive end Malik Herring (ACL recovery).
