As we found out last week, the NFL’s 2021 schedule is coming after the draft for the second consecutive year — and as of Wednesday, we have an exact date and time:
Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 7 p.m. Arrowhead Time
This year’s schedule will feature 17 regular-season games for the first time in league history. The 17th opponent will feature teams from opposing conferences that finished in the same place within their division the previous season, with the AFC as the home conference for the 17th game in 2021. The Chiefs’ 17th opponent this year is the Green Bay Packers of the NFC North.
In 2022, NFC teams will host these games — and thereafter, the two conferences will alternate hosting them.
As a reminder, here are the Kansas City Chiefs’ opponents for 2021:
Home: Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers.
Away: Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans and Washington Football Team.
Once the Chiefs’ schedule is released, we will have all of its details right here at Arrowhead Pride.
