DONOVAN: “We’ve been at this for almost a decade now, and we set out a pretty high bar when we started talking to organizations about forming a partnership like this, and that bar included some requirements. Number one — we were looking for a large employer who had a presence in Kansas City, someone who had a national footprint, somebody who served the community that we are in, and somebody who had a real deep respect and understanding of ‘Chiefs Kingdom,’ and specifically with naming rights of a stadium and an understanding of what Arrowhead represents to our fans, to the world. As you guys know, it’s a bucket-list sports venue, and in GEHA, we found someone who checks all those boxes. In addition to checking those boxes, a company that serves federal employees, retired military and their dependents and creates wellness programs and opportunities to have them live a healthier life, it’s really a unique combination that we’re fortunate to be able to not only find but also create a partnership that makes sense for both sides.”
