Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid provided some injury updates during his Super Bowl LV media availability on Monday.

First, Reid said that cornerback L’Jarius Sneed has cleared the concussion protocol. Sneed suffered a head injury during the Chiefs’ AFC title game against the Buffalo Bills. In addition, Reid said that wide receiver Sammy Watkins practiced on Monday after missing the team’s workout on Friday.

Watkins left the Chiefs’ Week 16 game against the Atlanta Falcons and has not played since — including the AFC title game against the Bills and the Divisional round contest against the Cleveland Browns.

On their Friday injury report, the Chiefs designated both as questionable to play had the game been last weekend. But now, both players are trending in the right direction.

The Chiefs take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the Super Bowl championship this Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Arrowhead Time. The next official injury report will become available on Wednesday afternoon.
