Bell, Jones and Ward had all been declared as out on Friday’s final injury report. Hill, Thuney and Hitchens had been listed as questionable.
On Sunday morning, it was reported that safety Juan Thornhill would start in place in Daniel Sorensen for the game — and there were also reports that Mike Remmers would start for Lucas Niang (hamstring) at right tackle. Niang practiced fully on Friday — and will be active for the game.
On Saturday, the Chiefs elevated practice squad defensive end Demone Harris to the active roster for Sunday’s game. He is active for the contest — and as an elevated player, will automatically be returned to the practice squad after the game.
Washington has also released its list of inactive players. Guard Brandon Scherff (knee), tackle Sam Cosmi (ankle), wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin), wide receiver Cam Sims (hamstring) and linebacker Jared Norris (stinger) will be inactive for the game — but wide receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring), tight end Sammis Reyes (back), running back Antonio Gibson (shin), and wide receiver Dyami Brown (knee) will be available to play.
