Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered a knee injury in the third quarter of the team’s Sunday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes found Edwards-Helaire on screen, and he ran for 11 yards before being brought down by linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and safety Jordan Poyer. Edwards-Helaire seemed to get his leg caught under him as he was tackled.
The running back pounded the ground before being helped off the field by teammates Darrel Williams and Tyreek Hill. Edwards-Helaire later left for the locker room under his own power.
Edwards-Helaire had seven carries for 13 yards and one reception for 11 yards when he left the game. The Chiefs announced that Edwards-Helaire was out for the game shortly after the play.
