The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Sunday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills. Defensive tackle Chris Jones (wrist) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (quad) will not suit up, but cornerback and linebacker Willie Gay (toe) will play in the game.

Jones was held out of practice all week in an effort to get his wrist injury under control for this game. His availability for the game had been reported to be a game-time decision. Ward practiced fully on Wednesday and Thursday but was limited in Friday’s practice. Both had been listed as questionable in Friday’s final injury report.

Since he was still on the team’s Reserve/Injured list, Gay never appeared on this week’s injury reports. When he was activated to the roster on Saturday, the Chiefs also listed him as questionable. This will be his first appearance in a game this season.

On Saturday, practice squad defensive end Demone Harris was elevated for the Bills game — likely as a hedge against Jones being unable to play. He is active for the game, but will automatically be returned to the practice squad roster when it is over.

All of the other Chiefs listed on this week’s injury reports were practicing fully by the end of the week, so the rest of the inactive players should be considered healthy scratches.

This would include tight end Noah Gray, who is apparently on the sideline so that new wide receiver Josh Gordon may be on the field. It’s the first time all season that the Chiefs have not had all four of their tight ends active for the game.

The Bills have also released their list of inactive players. Running back Taiwan Jones (hamstring) and defensive end A.J. Epenesa (foot) will both play, but linebacker Matt Milano (hamstring) will not suit up.

All three were listed as questionable in Friday’s injury report. Both Jones and Milano had been held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday but were limited in Friday’s practice. Epenesa had limited participation on Thursday and Friday.

Cornerback Tre’Davious White (shoulder) was limited in all of this week’s practices but was not given an injury designation for the game. He will play in the game.

Seven other Bills were treated for injuries this week — but as the week ended, all were full participants in practice. So the rest of Buffalo’s players should also be considered healthy scratches.
