According to a report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Seattle Seahawks could be interested in hiring Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka as their offensive coordinator.
#Seahawks have spoken to former #Jets head coach Adam Gase about the offensive coordinator opening, per source, and they intend to speak to #Chiefs QBs coach Mike Kafka at some point. Seattle casting wide net to get some new ideas for Russell Wilson and co.

Kafka is widely regarded as the Chiefs’ offensive-coordinator-in-waiting. So should current OC Eric Bieniemy wind up as head coach of another team — and Kafka also moves on to another club — Andy Reid would have two offensive coaching positions to fill for the 2021 season.
But as Fowler notes, Kafka is not the only person the Seahawks are considering for the job. In addition to former New York Jets head coach Adam Gase, the Seahawks are also interested in another former Chiefs coach: Doug Pederson. But according to CBSSports, the former Philadelphia Eagles head coach isn’t all that interested in the position. It is believed that he would rather sit out the 2021 season — much like Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo did before coming to the Chiefs in 2019.
