Mahomes was 31 of 42 for 385 yards and four passing touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 34-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He also registered four carries for 26 yards and a touchdown.
This is Mahomes’ fourth weekly award win since being drafted by the Chiefs in 2017. Mahomes’ previous weekly awards were Weeks 1 and 2 of 2018 and Week 2 of 2019. It’s hard to believe, but this award marks the latest in the season the quarterback has ever won it.
Four of Mahomes’ five total touchdowns against the Ravens came in the first half, as the Chiefs built a 27-10 lead before the break.
In the other AFC awards, Indianapolis Colts cornerback Xavier Rhodes won defensive player of the week and Tennessee Titans kicker Stephen Gostkowski won special teams player of the week.
