Andy Reid said Jordan (Ta'amu) did a good job of simulating Lamar Jackson -- a hard task, but Reid says he did a good job of it this week.

Fans may recall that former Chiefs defensive back Tremon Smith was used to prepare for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens back in 2018. In 2019, it was defensive back Alex Brown. This year it was an actual quarterback — Jordan Ta’amu, whom the Chiefs signed as a free agent from the XFL this offseason. It is understandable why Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo chose Ta’amu. The 22-year-old was dynamic as a member of the St. Louis BattleHawks — throwing for 1,050 yards and rushing for 217 on 41 attempts (5.3 yards per attempt) in five games played.
