Some notes
- It was a positive sign for the Chiefs to have cornerback Charvarius Ward (hand) back to practice in limited fashion. Ward missed all three practices last week before being ruled out ahead of the game. It was also positive that running back Darrel Williams (ankle) practiced limitedly and defensive end Frank Clark (illness) was OK to practice fully.
- After missing all three practices last week, defensive end Alex Okafor missed Thursday’s workout, though Chiefs head coach Andy Reid noted he is “getting better.”
- Reid on wide receiver Sammy Watkins: “Watkins is still in the concussion protocols—more neck right now than the other part. He’s working through it—tough kid.”
- A Twitter question asked whether we heard anything regarding a fine for Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman for his questionable tackle that injured Watkins, and we have not, yet. Words of fines typically break via the NFL newsbreakers on Saturday.
