The Chiefs Overlooked The Chargers And Why This Game Is What We Needed.

It's hard not to feel these days that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs aren't favoured by the gods. The Chiefs have a roster in place with a 10 year window with elite players in their early and mid 20s willing to take paycuts to keep this war-machine rolling. Often times it's hard to get up for most of the league when history indicates the only real foe the Chiefs may have is the ghost of Tom Brady's Patriots dynasty. Football is a game of talent yes, but also energy. The Chiefs in the first half played like a team that looked down on the Chargers, a team psychologically geared towards Baltimore in MNF and the energy showed. The Chiefs are the deadliest team in the NFL, the Golden State Warriors (16-18) on steroids, no lead is ever safe at any point. However, the Chiefs learnt, luckily with a win that inferior teams will not simply roll over and play dead for them, this was the kick in the arse the Chiefs needed to come out amped for every game. While the Chargers may have given the rest of the NFL some hope, don't read to much into it, maybe outside of next week's matchup in Baltimore, the Chargers gave us a charge (no pun) we needed to end games early and often all things being equal. The Chiefs are a juggernaut, maybe the best ever however no one's going to make a dynasty easy for us, we're going to have to take it, conquer the league each and every week.
