Chiefs announce Frank Clark is questionable to return vs. Chargers

The team cited that their star defensive end fell ill at the beginning of the second half.

After two tackles in the first half of the Kansas City Chiefs Week 2 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, defensive end Frank Clark did not come out for the initial defensive drive in the second half.

He is the second Chiefs defender to officially leave the game due to injury — and the third overall player so far.

Clark has had a history with illness, including multiple situations already in his short career in Kansas City. Last season, Clark fell ill heading into the Week 14 game at the New England Patriots. He reportedly lost 12 pounds and visited a hospital in the week leading up to the game.

At the beginning of training camp, Clark missed the first padded practice of the year due to a stomach virus.
