As noted in a previously published article, cornerback Antonio Hamilton suffered a groin injury in the first quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

On a Chiefs offensive drive later in the half, running back Darrel Williams suffered an ankle injury and did not return before halftime. As the second half began, defensive end Frank Clark stayed off the field due to an illness. He did not return to the field for the remainder of the game.

Later in the fourth quarter, Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins absorbed a big hit from linebacker Denzel Perryman above the shoulders, and Watkins walked off the field to the locker room.

“Sammy got a hit to the head that I thought was very questionable,” said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. “Anyway, he got hit to the head, so we’re not supposed to have those in our game here.”

Reid noted that linebackers Damien Wilson and Anthony Hitchens came out briefly and returned. Wilson went through concussion protocol and was able to come back in.

Reid did not have definite timetables regarding any of the players that were hurt and failed to come back.
