It sounds like the Chiefs will receive Super Bowl rings on Tuesday

The Kansas City Chiefs raised their Super Bowl LIV championship flag at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday — with a banner still expected to come on opening night a week from Thursday.

That still left the question of when the Chiefs would finally get their Super Bowl rings, something that has been on the mind of many Chiefs fans. Enter Ryan Petkoff, the senior vice president of brand development and communications for the Hunt Sports Group.

“Tuesday has a nice ring to it...” Petkoff tweeted from his official account on Sunday.

During his press conference on Saturday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid alluded to championship rings coming soon.

“We get the Super Bowl rings here pretty quick,” Reid said. “I think they’re going to probably announce that here somewhere. I’m going to leave that up to (vice president of communications) Ted (Crews) to announce it, put the pressure back on him, but it’s coming and our players are fired up about it, and it should be a great evening and an opportunity then to move forward and kind of put that behind you and get ready for the next season.”

The timeline for Tuesday evening makes sense, as the Chiefs are not scheduled to meet with the media on Wednesday or Thursday. Tight end Travis Kelce gushed about the ring back in late July.

“They kind of just threw it on the screen, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s nice. I would like one of those, yes,’” he said. “It’s a beautiful ring from when I saw it.”
