The Kansas City Chiefs conducted their 12th full practice of training camp on Thursday morning at the team’s practice facility in the Truman Sports Complex. The team will have one more session there on Friday before completing training camp with a final practice at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday in front of 5,000 season-ticket holders.
New offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele was back on the field on Thursday, after being held out of practice with a shoulder injury on both Monday and Wednesday. Defensive tackle Chris Jones was working with trainers during the stretching and individual drills, but was on the field in pads (via The Athletic).
No new injuries were reported, but wide receiver Gehrig Dieter (groin), defensive lineman Mike Danna, defensive end Alex Okafor (calf), defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (ankle), tight end Deon Yelder (groin), offensive lineman Yasir Durant (head) and linebacker Emmanuel Smith (hamstring) all missed Thursday’s practice. All of these players also missed Wednesday’s session.
Offensive lineman Martinas Rankin also did not practice. He remains on the team’s physically-unable-to-perform list.
Following practice, a press conference is scheduled with special teams coordinator Dave Toub, quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka, wide receivers coach Greg Lewis, linebackers coach Matt House and defensive backs coach Sam Madison.
