The Kansas City Chiefs were back in their practice facility on the grounds of the Truman Sports Complex on Monday, conducting their 10th full practice session of 2020’s training camp.
Two starters were back on the practice field on Monday. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill — who has been struggling with a minor hamstring injury — was back out in the sunshine, along with linebacker Damien Wilson. Both stayed away from team drills, instead working with trainers on stretching and conditioning (via Kansas City Star).
Starting left tackle Eric Fisher — who has been in concussion protocol and limited in recent practices — returned to team drills.
Defensive tackle Mike Pennel returned to practice.
Rookie offensive lineman Yasir Durant walked off the practice field (via The Athletic). The Chiefs said he is being evaluated for a head injury. Wide receiver Gehrig Dieter (groin) and linebacker Emmanuel Smith (hamstring) also left practice early.
A number of other players were held out of the session. Offenisve lineman Kelechi Osemele (shoulder), defensive tackle Braxton Hoyett (shoulder), safety Armani Watts (illness) and wide receiver Maurice Ffrench (knee) all missed their first full practices of camp.
After returning for a string of practices, defensive Derrick Nnadi missed Monday’s session. The team said he was resting his ankle.
Defensive end Alex Okafor (calf), rookie defensive lineman Mike Danna, tight end Deon Yelder (groin) each added a day to their tally of missed practices.
Offensive lineman Martinas Rankin — still on the team’s physically-unable-to-perform list — also didn’t practice on Monday.
