The 5-foot-10, 187-pound receiver originally signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft. The BYU product compiled 118 receptions for 1,336 yards and seven touchdowns during his four-year (2016-19) college career.
Hifo had been on the Chiefs’ reserve/COVID-19 list prior to being waived.
Wide receivers Sammy Watkins and Byron Pringle both missed Chiefs practice on Sunday due to injury. Hifo reportedly worked out for the Arizona Cardinals this past week before returning to Kansas City.
