There was an outpouring of support for defensive end Frank Clark out of Seattle when he was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs a little more than a year ago. The sentiment was he became just as important to Seattle’s community as he was for the Seahawks on the field.
The Bakersfield native is continuing that energy in Kansas City.
Clark plans to pay for the funeral of 4-year-old LeGend Taliferro, who was shot and killed Monday morning while sleeping at the Citadel apartments in Kansas City. The news Clark would take care of the funeral was first reported by 41 Action News’ McKenzie Nelson.
Clark tweeted about the boy from his official account early Friday afternoon.
RIP young LeGend Taliferro. Crazy In the midst of a movement we still manage to do foolish things. He was killed as he slept in his home due to gun violence. His mother, Charron Powell needs us. Let his name be heard. ♥️ pic.twitter.com/x7nuk4cD8D

41 added that Clark had been in touch with Taliferro’s mother, Charron Powell, about assisting to cover costs, and LeGend will be laid to rest on July 10.
