Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones became the second Chiefs player named to the “The Top 100 Players of 2020” aired by NFL Network Monday night. Jones came in at No. 52 after being ranked 36 last year.

Appearing in 13 games last season, Jones recorded 36 tackles (23 solo), eight tackles for loss, 20 quarterback hits, including 9.0 sacks, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Jones had three key passes defensed in Kansas City’s Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers. He recorded seven tackles (three solo) in two playoff games played.

The Chiefs signed Jones to a four-year contract earlier this month. As of this writing, the only other Chiefs player to be named to the list is defensive end Frank Clark. We know the Chiefs have six players make this year’s NFL Top 100.
