Chiefs Kingdom Championship Parade timeline

The Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their Super Bowl win on Wednesday with a parade starting in the River Market and concluding at Union Station. We have more on their victory speeches here.

Here is what happened beforehand:

1:24 p.m. — Travis Kelce shows off the Chiefs’ WWE championship belt.

1:10 p.m. — Shawnee Mission West High School’s Paul Rudd: “Honestly, I kept thinking about Alex Smith

12:52 p.m. — Patrick Mahomes throws a deep pass to a fan.

12:49 p.m. — Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are enjoying their time on the parade route.

12:34 p.m. — Patrick Mahomes is fired up.

12:29 p.m. — Eric Fisher is doing his best “Stone Cold” Steve Austin impression again.

Fisher was fined the last time — he will be OK this time.

12:25 p.m. — Tyreek Hill and Demarcus Robinson no longer have shirts on.

It is currently 27 degrees.

12:22 p.m. — Mecole Hardman raises the Lombardi Trophy.

12:17 p.m. — Andy Reid joins fans in the Arrowhead Chop.

12:16 p.m. — Getting up close with the entirety of the Chiefs defensive line.

12:12 p.m. — DANCE PARTY

12:07 p.m. — Frank Clark is wearing a Derrick Thomas jersey for the parade.

A rather special tribute to the past by the Chiefs’ edge rusher.

11:55 a.m — Patrick Mahomes is chugging Coors Light.

C.L. Smoothies for the MVP!

11:43 a.m — Chiefs super-fan Paul Rudd is along the parade route, waving to fans.

Look at him — who would have thought? Not me.

11:39 a.m — The buses roll out...

11:26 a.m — Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, Anthony Sherman and Eric Fisher sing We are the Champions on top of their bus.

It looks like Mahomes and his partner, Oakley, provided every Chiefs player with goggles. Protect those eyeballs.

11:26 a.m — Chiefs rookie-of-the-year Mecole Hardman is talking Rush Hour on top of the bus.

“Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth!?”

11:12 a.m. — Less than 20 minutes ahead of the buses starting up, here is a look at the crowd.

11:11 a.m — Former running back Jamaal Charles is in attendance at the parade.

Charles is a future member of the Chiefs’ Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor.

10:53 a.m — Chiefs special teams players Dustin Colquitt, Harrison Butker and James Winchester end the season just as they began it at training camp in St. Joseph.

10:18 a.m. — Here is a look inside head coach Andy Reid’s bus

10:13 a.m. — Defensive backs Tyrann Mathieu and Rashad Fenton send in a photo from one of the 17 double-decker buses set to begin down the parade route at 11:30.

10:12 a.m. — First look at the crowd at Union Station.

9:48 a.m. — The guys from the Royals check in.

Rex Hudler can’t help but talk about the Royals’ season coming up next week.

9:24 a.m. — Patrick Mahomes says his voice is almost gone...

...so how will he speak to the million fans in attendance?

9:13 a.m. — This is who will speak today

8:57 a.m. — BEACH BALL

...followed by The Chop.

8:28 a.m. — Police confirm there are no injuries, as far as they can tell right now.

8:23 a.m. — A police chase broke out on the actual parade route.

As of this writing, it sounds like Kansas City police ensured no one was hurt.

7:52 a.m. — Union Station announces its West Yards Parking is full.

That was quick.

7:36 a.m. — It’s before 8 a.m. and the crowd at Union Station is already wild.

Fans camped out to get a spot for the rally set for later Wednesday afternoon.

6:19 a.m. — Good Morning Football checks in with Chiefs gear ahead of the Parade.
