During the final week of the NFL regular season, all of the games are on Sunday.
In a game rescheduled from the early slate, the Kansas City Chiefs (14-1) will host the Los Angeles Chargers (6-9) at 3:25 p.m. (Arrowhead Time). At the same time, the Las Vegas Raiders (7-8) will be in Colorado to play the Denver Broncos (5-10) to conclude the AFC West’s 2020 business.
By the time those games kick off, we’ll have a bit more clarity about the rest of the AFC’s playoff seeding. The early games will include the Cleveland Browns (10-5) hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers (12-3), the Miami Dolphins (10-5) facing off against the Buffalo Bills (12-3) in upstate New York and the Baltimore Ravens (10-5) playing on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals (4-10-1).
In the late games, the NFC’s first two seeds will be up for grabs as the Carolina Panthers (5-10) host the New Orleans Saints (11-4), the Green Bay Packers (12-3) visit the Chicago Bears (8-7) and the San Francisco 49ers (6-9) play host to the Seattle Seahawks (11-4) in their temporary Phoenix digs.
At the same time, their landlords — the Arizona Cardinals (8-7) — will be visiting the Los Angeles Rams (9-6) in an NFC West matchup that could eliminate either team from the postseason, while the AFC’s accounts will be settled as the Houston Texans (4-11) host the Tennessee Titans (10-5) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-14) play the Indianapolis Colts (10-5) in Indiana.
Alex Smith and his teammates will be in Philadelphia, watching the early game between the Dallas Cowboys (6-9) and New York Giants (5-10) in New Jersey. They’ll be able to knock the loser of that game out of the playoffs — and claim the NFC’s fourth seed for themselves — as the Washington Football Team (6-9) faces the Philadelphia Eagles (4-10-1) on Sunday Night Football.
