Chiefs to begin selling playoff tickets next week

NFL: Carolina Panthers at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

It is time, according to the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the Chiefs holding a 99-percent chance to clinch their fifth-straight division title, the organization announced Thursday that (potential) playoff tickets for games at Arrowhead Stadium will go on sale beginning this Monday, December 7, for season-ticket holders and continue for Jackson County taxpayers and the general public on Friday, December 11.

As of the standings on Thursday, the Chiefs (10-1) would host any AFC game unless they match up against the Pittsburgh Steelers (11-0). Of course, those circumstances could change over the coming weeks. Here is what you need to know from the team’s release:

  • Chiefs’ season-ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase a “Playoff Pack,” which includes tickets for all three potential home playoff games, beginning on Monday, December 7, in order of tenure, through their password-protected ticket account.
  • Any tickets remaining will be released as single-game tickets on Friday, December 11, to Jackson County taxpayers (8 a.m. Arrowhead Time) and the general public (Noon Arrowhead Time).
  • Tickets will be sold in grouped pods of seats, with the ability to purchase as many as six seats in the same pod through the online process. Fans will be required to attend with known guests sitting within their purchased pod.
  • The club plans to continue to enforce its COVID protocols for the playoffs, which can be found here.
