Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Austin Reiter earned the start at center against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Veteran Daniel Kilgore had replaced Reiter in the previous three games — Weeks 6, 7 and 8.
When asked why Reiter had been sitting out in mid-October, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the team was letting his “tender knee” heal.
With right tackle Mitch Schwartz out for the game, the rest of the line went as follows left to right — left tackle Eric Fisher, left guard Nick Allegretti, right guard Andrew Wylie and right tackle Mike Remmers.
