Some notes
- Right tackle Mitch Schwartz (back) and wide receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring) missed their second practice of the week. Schwartz had to leave the game against the Bills after one series and did not play against the Broncos. Watkins missed both games entirely. It is appearing more and more like the Chiefs will hold them out again this week.
- Safety Armani Watts (illness) missed his second practice in a row.
- Defensive tackle Chris Jones (groin) noted that he “was good” during Chiefs media availability, and he then turned up a full practice participation on the Thursday injury report. He should be good to go.
- He is not on the injury report as he returns from injured reserve, but defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo mentioned defensive end Mike Danna has looked great in his return to practice. The Chiefs could activate him ahead of this weekend’s game.
- The New York Jets listed 14 players on their injury report.
- Wide receiver Jamison Crowder (groin) did indeed practice Thursday, albeit limitedly. He is the Jets’ best pass-catching option. Fellow wide receiver Breshad Perriman remains in the concussion protocol. The Jets’ other player to watch is safety Bradley McDougald, who has not practiced all week with a shoulder injury.
