The NFL named Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver and returner Byron Pringle as its AFC special teams player of the week for Week 7.

Pringle, 26, ran back a 102-yard kickoff return, making the game 24-9 in an eventual 43-16 Chiefs blowout win over the Broncos. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid discussed Pringle’s recent uptick in play during his Monday afternoon press conference.

This is the 2018 undrafted free agent’s first weekly award of his young career.

In the other awards, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield won AFC offensive player of the week and Buffalo Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes won AFC defensive player of the week.
