The surprise bye week has come and gone, and after Wild Card weekend, we now know the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Houston Texans in the Divisional round Sunday at 2:05 p.m. in Arrowhead Stadium.

With the opponent set, the Chiefs will resume their regular schedule on Monday, with an Andy Reid press conference set for Noon.

A number of storylines heading into this game already come to mind:

  • Patrick Mahomes vs. Deshaun Watson; both taken in the 2017 NFL Draft
  • Andy Reid vs. Bill O’Brien
  • How do the Chiefs replace Juan Thornhill?
  • What does the return of J.J. Watt mean for the Texans?
  • Will Will Fuller play against the Chiefs, and how effective will he be?
  • The challenge of facing a team twice in one season
  • The Carlos Hyde Revenge Game
  • Tyrann Mathieu choosing to leave Houston after just one season to join Kansas City

and many more!

The Chiefs begin three days of preparation for the Texans on Wednesday. Reid is scheduled to speak again, in addition to quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs coordinators will talk to the media before practice on Thursday, followed by Reid to close the week on Friday.

As usual, we’ll have you covered all week long at Arrowhead Pride.
