Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt will bang the drum prior to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday for the second consecutive season; he is hoping for a better game outcome than last time around.
The decision to make Hunt the drum honoree makes plenty of sense, with the Chiefs once again playing for the Lamar Hunt Trophy, named after the founder of the club, Clark’s father.
Kansas City native and Shawnee Mission West High School grad Paul Rudd will serve as the game’s Tony DiPardo spirit leader. Also, if weather permits, a B-2 Stealth Bomber (operated by the 509th Bomb Wing out of Missouri’s Whiteman Air Force Base) will perform a flyover following the national anthem.
Parking gates open at 9 a.m. Arrowhead Time and stadium gates open at Noon. Kickoff for the Chiefs and Tennessee Titans is set for 2:05 p.m. Arrowhead Time.
