Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey will follow Tyreek Hill Week 1

It’s round two between Ramsey and Hill. Ding ding!

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

After their fourth and final preseason game on Saturday night, the Kansas City Chiefs will turn their attention to Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

And in that game, according to Jaguars defensive coordinator Todd Wash via Jaguars reporter Hays Carlyon, cornerback Jalen Ramsey plans to “travel with Tyreek Hill.”

In case you forgot, the Chiefs wide receiver chirped back and forth with Ramsey leading into last year’s contest between the two teams in October. Hill said Ramsey was “all right, I guess,” leading Ramsey, who is never afraid to mix it up, to specifically refer to Hill as an All-Pro “return specialist” — as opposed to an All-Pro wide receiver — four times during his weekly press conference.

Hill finished the game with four catches for 61 yards, including a 36-yard catch against Ramsey down the sideline, and the Chiefs won 30-14 to improve to 5-0.

Ramsey told reporters he spoke to Hill following the game.

“No issue,” Ramsey said. “Tyreek and I are cool. I’ve been a Tyreek fan since he came in. Last week, I was surprised at his words. And, then when I talked to him after the game, he was like, ‘I said you were great.’

“But, everyone knows what he kind of said. So, I had to take a shot back at him. But you know, I respect him as a player.”

By the way, Hill received his second first-team All-Pro nod in 2018 — this time at the flex position.

The Chiefs and Jaguars kick off on September 8 at Noon Arrowhead Time.
