On Thursday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes announced another opportunity to wear one of his snazzy tuxedos: the first-ever 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Gala. It will be held at the Marriott hotel in downtown Kansas City, Missouri at 6:30 pm on Thursday, November 21.
The charity dinner will feature a speech from the reigning NFL MVP and a live auction. It will also recognize the work of other charity organizations and community leaders in the Kansas City area.
“15 and the Mahomies looks forward to hosting the inaugural gala and building it for years to come,” Mahomes said in a statement. “I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to give back to the Kansas City community that has given so much love and support to me, my family and all of Chiefs Kingdom.”
Other Chiefs players and Kansas City luminaries are expected to attend.
Established earlier this year, 15 and the Mahomies supports efforts to improve the lives of children, supporting initiatives focusing on children’s health and wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes.
The foundation’s signature program is 15 FOR 15, supporting 15 youth charity initiatives that focus on academics, science, the arts, classroom supplies, athletics, children with disabilities, after-school programs and more.
