Earlier this week, I joked about how the folks at the Kansas City Chiefs equipment department came up with the “best Fourth of July” shirt on the planet—a callback to one of Anthony Sherman’s veteran report day outfits (by the way, in case you’re wondering, Chiefs veteran report day happens three weeks from Friday).
Well, the response was so strong, Sherman and the team has decided to put the shirts actually on sale for $25 a piece... and it’s for a good cause.
All proceeds from “The saUSAge” shirts will go to the Veterans Community Project, which “refuses to let any veteran fall through the cracks. From providing housing to offering walk-in support services, we’re here for America’s veterans.”
Read more about the Veterans Community Project in its mission statement or get your “saUSAge” shirt here.
Fourth of July may be over, but this item will assuredly make you the most popular Chiefs fan at the tailgate this September.
