The reigning AP NFL Most Valuable Player, Patrick Mahomes, will have two more opportunities to add hardware to his collection at ESPN’s 27th annual ESPYS awards.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was named a nominee for both “Best Male Athlete” and “Best NFL Player” for his 2018 season.

Here is who Mahomes will be competing against in both categories:

“Best Male Athlete” nominees

  • Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
  • Mookie Betts, Boston Red Sox
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
  • Brooks Koepka, Golf

“Best NFL Player” nominees

Common sense would tell you since no other NFL player is nominated for “Best Male Athlete,” Mahomes should take home “Best NFL Player.” Vote on that award here.

No offense to Koepka, but “Best Male Athlete” feels like a three-man race between Mahomes, Betts and Antetokounmpo.

Mahomes’ Chiefs are also nominated for an ESPY award — the “Best Game” honor — for their Monday Night Football thriller against the Los Angeles Rams, which the Chiefs lost, 54-51.

“Best Game” nominees

  • NFL Week 11 – LA Rams (54) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (51) – Monday Night Football
  • NCAAF – LSU vs. Texas A&M: Aggies win seven-overtime 74-72 thriller in highest scoring game in FBS history
  • NCAAW Final Four – Notre Dame (81) vs. UConn (76) – 26 lead changes
