NFL stays silent on Tyreek Hill | NBC Sports Pro Football Talk
Multiple reports (including one posted here) indicated that the league was likely to place Hill on the Commissioner Exempt list last week. The league didn’t do it. Instead, the league did nothing about Hill. Even now, 10 days after the disturbing audio of Hill telling a woman he once choked and beat while pregnant that “you need to be terrified of me too, b—” surfaced, the NFL has taken no action and issued no comment about Hill’s situation.

When Frank Clark Nearly Sacked Patrick Mahomes... | Forbes
Now Clark doesn’t have to worry about stopping the Chiefs’ potent offense or sacking Mahomes, but if he did, he has a tip.
“When you rush him, make sure you stay on the upfield shoulder because he’s got a mean spin move,” Clark said. “He’s special.”
Chiefs rookie DB Juan Thornhill gets after the ball in first minicamp practice | Kansas City Star
With the minutes of the final team drill winding down, Juan Thornhill made the kind of play the Chiefs searched for from their secondary last season. Thornhill picked off former Wagner quarterback TJ Linta and ran the ball back some 30 yards to the end zone at the Chiefs’ practice facility Saturday afternoon.
The play, of course, has to be taken with a grain of salt. None of the 72 players participating in the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp were wearing pads, and the competition wasn’t nearly as stout as it will be once the NFL regular season starts.
But even so, the flash of athleticism and playmaking ability out of Thornhill, a second-round draft pick, bodes well for the Chiefs as they remake the defense to Steve Spagnuolo’s specifications.

WRs D.K. Metcalf, Parris Campbell dazzle in debuts | NFL
Albeit, it was the first day of rookie minicamp without any pads, but receivers D.K. Metcalf and Parris Campbell grabbed headlines and highlights with their showcase performances.
On Friday, speed burner Campbell debuted for the Indianapolis Colts and the sans-shirt star that is Metcalf made his first mark on a Seattle Seahawks practice. The second-round sensations came away with rave reviews.
After the three years he’s had in the NFL, Elliott has more than earned it. Don’t expect that deal to get done anytime soon, however.
“Well, I think those [deals] are all a work in progress,” Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said on Pro Football Talk on Friday. “Certainly we’ve got a couple years there with Zeke to get that done. We certainly want to get him done. He’s the straw, if you will, that stirs our drink. He’s a key part of what we’re about.
Bobby Wagner: ‘I’m Preparing’ Like 2019 Will Be My Final Season with Seahawks | Bleacher Report
“I’m preparing like this is my last year as a Seahawk,” Wagner told NFL Network’s Omar Ruiz on Saturday while revealing he has not had extension talks with the club. “If it is, I want to make sure I go out with a bang and make sure I give the city something to remember.”
Giants’ Shurmur: Eli is ‘staying in the moment’ | ESPN
The New York Giants drafted a quarterback with the sixth overall pick in the NFL draft, and coach Pat Shurmur hasn’t seen Eli Manning flinch.
”He’s had no response,” Shurmur said. “I will say this again: I’ve never been around a person that can stay in the moment better than Eli. And I think that is something that is really, really unique about him. He’s staying in the moment.”

Whether Gary takes the reins as the Packers’ next great pass rusher remains to be seen, much the same as the quandary in regards to his shoulder holding up. Either way, Friday was the first day for a new No. 52 in Green Bay.
