The Kansas City Chiefs are waiving quarterback TJ Linta with an injury settlement, according to NFL insider Adam Caplan.
#Chiefs are going to waive UDFA QB T.J. Linta (ankle) with an injury settlement. 4 QBs available for OTAs unless team adds another one.— Adam Caplan (@caplannfl) May 28, 2019
As Caplan notes, that leaves three quarterbacks on the roster behind starter Patrick Mahomes: Chad Henne, Chase Litton and Kyle Shurmur.
well without knowing specifics not much to talk about here other than now that it's a settlement means it was something ongoing that player needs further care for. @ArrowheadPride https://t.co/K62wGIAVc2— Aaron Borgmann (@RehabAllStar) May 28, 2019
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Wagner product joined the Chiefs as part of their initial 17-player undrafted free agent class. The Chiefs now have one open spot on the 90-man roster.
