PFF’s top 25 NFL players under 25 for 2019 | Pro Football Focus
QB PATRICK MAHOMES, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Age at kickoff: 23 years, 11 months, 20 days
The now third-year quarterback is coming off a simply sensational 2018 season that rightfully ended with MVP honors. Mahomes’ overall grade of 92.9 is currently tied with 2013 Peyton Manning for the ninth-best grade of the PFF era (2006 – present), and his 134.2 passer rating from a clean pocket is the highest single-season mark of the PFF era among signal-callers with at least 500 dropbacks. Long may it continue.
In general, I believe NFL teams and fans overvalue draft picks. If you have the cap space, and particularly with picks outside the top 10 or so in most drafts, I believe you’re better off taking the certainty of an established player over the low cost of a pick.
But there is a breaking point, at some point, and I don’t know that the team that just traded picks and a lot of cap space for Frank Clark is best served doing the same for Patrick Peterson.

Holthus recounts fateful 30 days of Cunningham’s career | 41 KSHB
“There was a fateful 30 days for Gunther when you look back at him as head coach of the Chiefs,” Holthus said at the Chiefs practice facility. “The Chiefs are going to win the division. They’re ahead 17-0. It’s the Y2K bowl. We all thought we were going to blow up. Earth was going to blow up. Earth is still there, second day of the new millennium and he’s going to beat the Raiders to go to the playoffs and host a playoff game.”
Top 20 NFL veterans traded in the prime of their careers | NFL
18) Tony Gonzalez, tight end
Traded from: Chiefs to Falcons, 2009.
Gonzalez would rank higher on this list if he had been traded closer to his prime. In fact, none of the other players detailed below spent 12 years with one team before being traded, like Gonzalez did in Kansas City. Gonzalez established a reputation as the best tight end in football, perhaps in history, when he was shipped to the Falcons.
2019 NFL GM Offseason Report Cards | Bleacher Report
Kansas City Chiefs: Brett Veach
The defense treaded water. The offense is worse. And Kansas City GM Brett Veach is probably burning through Advil and Rolaids at a pretty good clip.

Josh Rosen still hasn’t heard from Cardinals GM Keim | NFL
“The only thing that really did kind of frustrate me through this whole process was like I still haven’t heard from my old GM,” Rosen said, not mentioning Keim by name. “I hadn’t talked to him for months before. Still haven’t talked to him after. That was kind of frustrating, but for the most part, I’m just ready to put that whole chapter behind me and keep pushing on and playing football.”

Ravens sign rookie WR Joe Horn Jr. after tryout | ESPN
This is a surprising move considering Horn Jr. had an underwhelming season for Division II Missouri Western last season. He caught 15 passes for 246 yards and no touchdowns in 11 games.
But the 5-foot-10, 180-pound undrafted rookie showed a burst getting off the line and drew praise from Ravens coach John Harbaugh earlier this month.
Antonio Brown headlines NFL players under most pressure in ‘19 | NFL
Looking forward to the 2019 campaign, which NFL players will be under the microscope? Who faces the most intense pressure to deliver the goods (like Kawhi) and avoid flopping (like Kyrie)? Here’s my list, Schein Nine style:
Panthers are this year’s All or Nothing team | NBC Sports Pro Football Talk
From 2016 through 2018, Amazon dropped without much advance notice and with no advance identification of the involved team a full season of All or Nothing, a full-season look at one specific NFL franchise. This year, there has been no advance notice as to when the show will emerge and no advance identification of the team involved.
This year, we’ve caught wind of the team, and we’ve confirmed it. Per multiple sources, Carolina Panthers secretly served as the most recent All or Nothing team.
