3. Cardinals trade Patrick Peterson to the Chiefs

Chiefs get: Patrick Peterson

Cardinals get: 2020 first-round pick

Patrick Peterson won’t come out and say it, but it kind of seems like he doesn’t want to play for the Cardinals anymore. Just to give you a little refresher on the Peterson situation: The Cardinals corner demanded a trade back in October, only to apologize for making that demand a few months later, but the situation didn’t end there, because now, it looks like he wants to be traded again. Peterson has removed the Cardinals name from all of his social media accounts and he’s spent the past month taking passive-aggressive shots at the team.

Fantasy Football Rankings 2019: Sleepers from model that nailed Andrew Luck’s huge season | CBS Sports

We can tell you SportsLine’s 2019 Fantasy Football rankings and cheat sheets are all over Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins. Drafters are sleeping on him all the way until the ninth round, but there’s plenty of reason to believe he’ll provide more value than his Fantasy football ADP indicates.

Boom or Bust Predictions for NFL Offseason’s Riskiest Moves | Bleacher Report

Boom: 49ers Trading for DE Dee Ford

In a career year, Ford recorded 13 sacks and seven forced fumbles in 16 starts for the Chiefs. He’s been highly productive as of late, recording 64 quarterback hits, 35 tackles for a loss and 29 sacks in his last 51 games.

Pairing the 28-year-old Ford with Bosa on the edge will give the 49ers one of the most talented pass-rushing duos in the entire league. Look for Ford to make an immediate impact for San Francisco in his first year with the team.

‘Madden 20’ Gameplay Features: Here’s What Worries Me About X-Factors And Zone Abilities | Forbes

There will be times when real-life Mahomes will scramble himself into the clear without a defensive player in dangerous proximity, and he’ll attempt to throw the ball across his body, and he won’t throw a pass correctly. There should never be a perk in any of these archetype concepts that ensure anything. Perhaps drastically increasing the possibility of success? That works, but nothing is perfect.

Kliff Kingsbury unsure whether Patrick Peterson will show for OTAs | NBC Sports Pro Football Talk

I’m not sure about OTAs. Everything is voluntary,” Kingsbury said, via Darren Urban of the team’s website.

Last season Peterson said he wanted the Cardinals to trade him, but he later reversed course, apologized for the trade request and said he was committed to the team. This offseason, however, some cryptic social media activity by Peterson has been seen as an indication that he’s unhappy, and a report emerged that someone in the Cardinals’ front office had said something that angered Peterson.

Steelers ink first-round LB Devin Bush to contract | NFL

The Steelers signed linebacker Devin Bush to his four-year rookie deal on Sunday, a source told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Bush’s fully guaranteed deal is worth $18,871,768, Rapoport added.

Joe Flacco won’t have to worry about losing his job to another rookie quite yet | Yahoo! Sports

“Joe will take all of the reps with the first team,” Fangio said, via NFL.com. “Then we have an open competition after that and we’ll randomly play those with the twos and the threes when we do our reps.”

At age 42, even a mediocre year would be unprecedented for Tom Brady | NBC Sports Pro Football Talk

Brady will turn 42 in August, and that really is an age at which no quarterback has ever had even a mediocre NFL season. George Blanda threw six touchdowns as a 43-year-old in 1970, and that’s the most touchdowns any quarterback has ever thrown in a season after turning 42.

Saints to ‘brush off’ Graham plays for TE Jared Cook | NFL

“The base is already here, the foundation for that is already here because they had a guy like (Graham),” Saints TE coach Dan Campbell said this week, per The Times-Picayune. “Look, we’ve already got what we need, we can brush off some of the stuff we’ve done before without any problem.

”We’re going to do what (Cook) does best, we’re going to use those plays, but let’s see everything he can do. Let’s test him.”

Fins sign Walton; RB arrested 3 times this year | ESPN

Dolphins coach Brian Flores said Saturday that “people deserve a second chance” in reference to the Walton tryout.

”I don’t want to judge people based on one incident (or) two incidents,” Flores said. “I think it’s a case-by-case situation for a player and just for people in general. That’s kind of my stance.”
